Landon and I had fun at the zoo and got a treat when we went to see the Polar Bears :O)

Happy Halloween!!

Landon had lots of fun on Halloween dressed as a turtle as you can see! He was running around everywhere and even said "trick or treat" by the end of the night. Danny also took him to the Scripps Aquarium to hang out with his cousins at the Halloween fair. This last shot is from when Landon and I went to the zoo a few weeks ago. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post...I'll try to be better :O)

August Trips....

BAILA!

We recently went to Washington for the Almond Family Reunion/ seafood feast that Aunt Patty throws. We had a wonderful time and Landon got to see his Aunt Wendy, cousins Elizabeth and Keagan, Aunt Patty and Gordy and got to meet Great Grandma Shorty for the first time! The reunion is always thrown on the same weekend as the annual craft fair so we got to check that out as well. This video is of Landon dancing to a band that was playing at the fair....he LOVES to get down in his own special way and we just can't get enough. We also went to Tahoe for Steve and Stephanie's wedding and I'll post some pictures from that as well. Another great time! The weather was beautiful and so was the wedding.

I just realized it looks like Landon doesn't own any clothes after looking at these pics...it's just been hot recently and Landon's been in and out of his kiddie pool all day so the diaper is the easiest outfit!
The pic of Landon with the football is his 14 month picture.
He's been playing a lot lately with his cousins which is fun to watch (playing consists of following them and sucking their faces).

Steph caught several of the many diverse expressions of Landon. Thanks to his cute cousins for helping him devour the cake-there's no way he could have eaten it all! Speaking of the cake...it only took me two trial runs...that thing plagued me for weeks....

More Pics from Landon's B-Day and Mother's Day

The Birch Aquarium had lots for Landon to drool over and he had a great time.
Mother's Day was wonderful, us lucky ladies were treated to a yummy brunch at the Hotel Del. Unfortunately I didn't get any shots of all of us- Aunt Maryann, Uncle Charlie, J and Nicole also joined us!

One year old....already!

We can hardly believe Landon's already turned one. We had a small family and friend gathering for him and he got lots of fun gifts. It looks like a clown threw up all over our livingroom- there are tons of orange, red, green, blue and yellow contraptions everywhere and Landon loves to spread out his toys EVERYWHERE. He enjoyed tearing apart his (bleck- wheat free) cake with his hands and he tried several times to land his mouth into it so he could just take a huge bite!

We recently had his one year check up and here are the stats:

Weight: 25 lbs

Height: 29 inches

About a month ago he took his first steps but they were few and far between. Now, he's walking all around the house with his hands above his head like a monkey! He is so thrilled with himself and squeals in delight. He loves to crawl up the stairs too so we are getting lots of use out of the baby gates.

A funny mishap occured the other day...dad was oh so close but too late-Danny...Landon dropped Danny's phone into the toilet (after looking at him first and hearing him say "NOOOOOOOO!!!!"... like that commercial where the little girl flushes her dad's watch down the toilet and says "uh-oh"! So...in case you weren't aware, cell phones ARE NOT water proof.

His words for now are mama, dada, uh-oh, and wow.

I'm hoping to enroll Landon into a "parent and me" swimming class for June- I think (hope) he will love it!

11 month pic

Here is Landon's 11 month shot in his rocking chair and PJs...I just had to attach this other one of him in one of his toy boxes. I heard him struggling so I look over and he's stuck in the box and lifting his belly up and down trying to pop himself out. You can tell by his face he wasn't amused. I on the other hand was laughing hysterically. I will post birthday pics and one year stats as soon as possible (we go to the Dr. tomorrow)....

Here are some recent shots. We took Landon to see the Easter bunny and he did surprisingly well! He wasn't smiling but he wasn't screaming. I included a few shots from our Napa trip- we had so much fun and the group of friends that came along kept us laughing the whole trip! We saw a few of the most beautiful wineries I've ever seen. Our most favorite was Reverie (the picture of the big doors with barrells painted on them is the entrance into Reverie's wine cave)- from the very animated tour guide to the circle of redwood trees on their property (it's a random set of redwoods that planted themselves in a perfect circle and Reverie has turned it into a beatiful picnic area). The castle in the picture is called Castilla Amorosa and it cost $30 million to build and it's been in progress for 14 years. As I've said before, I plan to retire us in Napa!
