23 Weeks

1/19/06:We just met with our midwife yesterday and we'll be going on a tour of the hospital on Monday. Before the tour we will be meeting the 13 midwives that work at the hospital so we will be acquainted with whoever delivers our baby in case ours isn't there when I deliver. The hospital has a volunteer doula program as well so we will definitely be looking forward to that. For those of you who are not familiar, a doula is someone who is there throughout the labor to offer physical, emotional, and informational support to both the mother and the father (she will be making sure Danny doesn't pass out :) ).

We decided to head up to Big Bear for a few days and stay in a cabin loaned to us by our very generous Uncle Bill and Aunt Vilma. We missed the snow by a week but it was really pretty while we were there- we did some hiking and lots of R&R.

20 Weeks...

Week 20...belly sure is growing fast. We had our ultrasound a few weeks ago. It was really neat to see how much the baby has grown. We decided not to find out the sex- we were happy just to learn that the baby looks healthy!
